DAY 2
Daily Journey

Day 2 – Basirhat Range & Deep Sundarban Exploration

On the second day, we will explore the northern part of the Sundarbans, known as the Basirhat Range. This will be a long and adventurous journey of approximately 14 hours, so everyone will need to board the boat very early in the morning. We will begin our journey from Pakhiralay Paltan Jetty Ghat in the early morning. Cruising through the beautiful waterways and mangrove surroundings, we will cross the Pakhiralay forest area and proceed via Jotirampur and Saatjelia, leaving Mollakhali on our left. We will then continue along the Morichjhapi Forest, heading towards Kumirmari Island. Near Kumirmari, we will find the Basirhat Range Office and the historically significant area of Morichjhapi. At the Baghna Forest Office, we will present our special permission documents and take an authorized forest guide with us for the onward journey. From there, we will travel south along the magnificent Raimangal River. Passing Boro Chilmari and Chhoto Chilmari, we will enter the beautiful Burir Dabri Canal. For approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, we will cruise through this scenic canal, enjoying the untouched beauty of the deep mangrove forest before reaching the Burir Dabri Forest Camp. At Burir Dabri, visitors can see the unique Goran wood fencing, one of the special attractions of this forest area. From there, we will proceed towards the Burir Dabri Watch Tower. From the watch tower, we can enjoy spectacular views of the forest extending towards the Bangladesh border. The forest region of Bangladesh begins on the opposite side of this area, making the location particularly fascinating. After enjoying the natural beauty of Burir Dabri, we will continue towards the Harikhali Forest Camp. The journey will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Harikhali is a beautifully maintained forest camp located deep inside the Sundarbans. From this region, the Bay of Bengal is only around two to three hours away by continuous boat journey. However, visitors are permitted to travel only up to Harikhali Forest Camp. We will spend some time exploring the peaceful surroundings and natural beauty of Harikhali before beginning our return journey to our hotel at Pakhiralay. This will conclude our exciting second-day expedition.
Final route and timing remain subject to forest permissions, tide, weather and local operating conditions.
DAY 3
Daily Journey

Day 3 – Sajnekhali Range & Netidhopani Core Area

On the third day, our destination will be one of the deepest and most fascinating areas of the Sajnekhali Range – Netidhopani. Our journey will begin at approximately 7:00 AM. Within about 15 minutes of starting the journey, we will reach the Sajnekhali Forest Office, where we will present our permits and collect an authorized forest guide. At Sajnekhali, visitors can see a rare and endangered species of turtle, along with crocodiles in the designated crocodile enclosure. The area also offers an excellent introduction to different varieties of mangrove vegetation. From the Sajnekhali Watch Tower, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding forest and wetlands. After completing our visit to Sajnekhali, we will continue towards the Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower. From Sudhanyakhali, our boat will travel through beautiful narrow creeks and channels deep inside the mangrove forest before reaching the Dobanki Forest Camp. After visiting Dobanki, we will continue our journey towards the famous Netidhopani Forest Camp, one of the deepest permitted tourist destinations inside the Sundarbans. Netidhopani offers an exceptional opportunity to experience the remote and untouched beauty of the mangrove ecosystem. After enjoying the surroundings, we will begin our return journey via the Sagar Mohana and cross the Panchamukhi River, heading towards Godkhali. From Godkhali, our vehicle will transfer all guests to Canning Railway Station, where our memorable Sundarban journey will come to an end.
Final route and timing remain subject to forest permissions, tide, weather and local operating conditions.
